Tae Top Five Cocktail Picks

The weekend is here 🙂  and that means drinks with friends, wind down time and little bit of fun!
To ring in the weekend, here are our top 5 picks for your cocktails for you to try! Happy Trying!!!

Ingredients: For 4 Serving

8 ounces (1 cup) vodka
2 ounces (1/4 cup) triple sec
3 ounces (1/3 cup) cranberry juice
1 to 2 ounces (2 tablespoons to 4 tablespoons) fresh lime juice
4 2-inch orange peels/twists


Add vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and the lime juice to a pitcher then stir. Refrigerate. Then, once ready to serve, pour into four martini glasses and garnish with orange peel/twist.

Ingredients: For 4 Serving

6 ounces light rum
12 mint sprigs, or spearmint, 8 roughly broken apart
6 tablespoons fresh lime juice
4 tablespoons sugar
Club soda
4 slices lime


Place ice in beverage shaker then add in the rum, 8 broken up mint sprigs, lime juice and sugar. Shake well and serve over ice in a high ball glass. Top off each glass with a splash of club soda.
Garnish each with a slice of lime and a sprig of mint.

Strawberry Daiquiri


Ice cubes
2 parts light rum
1 part Triple Sec
1 part fresh strawberries, tops trimmed off
Lime juice, as needed
Lime wedges


Add to a blender and puree: ice cubes, light rum, Triple Sec, fresh strawberries and lime juice. Rub the rim of a glass with lime. Roll the glass in sugar. Garnish with lime wedges. Taste and enjoy!

Frozen Margaritas
Ingredients- original recipe makes 8 6-ounce drinks

2 quarts ice cubes
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate
12 fluid ounces tequila (measure with empty limeade can)
1/4 cup Cointreau


Margarita or kosher salt for the rims
lime slices cut in half


Working in 2 batches, place 1 quart ice cubes in a blender. Add 1/2 can limeade, 6 ounces tequila and 2 tablespoons Cointreau. Blend at highest speed until drink is almost smooth. Pour into a pitcher and repeat with remaining ingredients. Store in the freezer.
To salt the margarita glasses, pour a single layer of salt on a salad plate. Moisten each glass rim with lime; dip each rim in the salt. Pour margaritas into each glass; garnish with lime. Serve immediately.

Jack Daniel’s Honey Lemonde 



Ice cubes, as needed
5 Tbsp Jack Daniel’s Honey Whiskey
1/2 cup spring thyme lemonade
1 Tbsp simple syrup
splash of honey
2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
Lemon peels and lemon wedges
Lemon thyme sprigs, for garnish

Instructions : recipe serves 2
Fill cocktail shaker half full of ice cubes. Add 5 tablespoons of whiskey.
Add 1/2 cup of lemonade to shaker.  In a small bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon simple syrup and a splash of honey.  If honey is very thick, microwave it for a couple seconds to thin it out.  Add honey syrup to shaker.
Add 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice to shaker and stir to combine.
Fill 2 serving glasses with ice and garnish with a lemon wedge.  Cover cocktail shaker with a strainer.
Pour cocktail into prepared serving glasses.  Discard used iced. Garnish finished cocktail with lemon peel and lemon thyme sprigs if desired. And enjoy!
