We are back again with the Tae Special Feature; A Day in the Life. Ever wonder what your favourite personalities or entrepreneurs days are like? Periodically they give us a walk-through of their 24 Hours.
Kolawole Yusuf is the CEO / Creative Director of KolaKuddus Couture, he shares his typical day with us touching on how he balances life as a Fashion Entrepreneur and being a father. Enjoy!
5:30am: Alarm wakes me up, but I occasionally do the extra ‘5’ minutes of sleep, which sometimes turns into 30 minutes, depending on how many hours of sleep I have had.
5:45am – 6:15am: Time to talk to God with the family.
6:15am – 6:30am: Browse through unread messages, emails, missed phone calls etc.
6:30am – 7:00am: Morning exercise, although it is no longer a daily ritual. This largely depends on how much food I ate on the previous day.
7:30am – 8:00am: School run!!! Amidst singing nursery rhymes, storytelling, answering a hundred questions and struggles with the car seat!! !! Being a daddy…..heavy sigh!
8:30am: Work day begins. Meeting with operations manager on directions and strategy for the day.
9:00am – 10:00am: Catch up on emails, news, social media, fashion articles and journals.
10:00am – 12:00pm: Meeting with other relevant staff members on any pending issues – Finance issues, Quality Control rounds, collection sketching & designing etc.
12:00pm – 3:00pm: Client meetings (internal & external)
3:00pm: Head out to flagship store at Surulere to oversee things, meet with clients and do all that needs to be done at that end.
7:00pm: Head back home
8:30pm – 10:30pm: Family time. Catch up for the day, homework, TV, movies & of course, prayers.
10:30pm – 11:00pm: Strategise for the next day
11:00pm: Goodnight everyone!
